During a discussion on evolution, someone uses the following argument:
"Mathematicians consider any probability of 1/10^50 to be a mathematical impossibility. Evolution [ed. note: this should say 'Spontaneous Darwinism' but I'm quoting] has a probability of 1/10^1,000,000. Basically, from any mathematical and scientific standpoint, it is completely impossible that a group of amino acids could come together and form life, then that life would slowly evolve into something with the complexity of a human being. Moreover, it would therefore take more faith for me to believe in evolution [ed. note: again, 'spontaneous Darwinism'] than it would to believe that there is a God who created this world."
What is your response?
Before posting, please understand this: I do not care whether you believe in creationism, theological Darwinism, spontaneous Darwinism, or something completely different. I do not want your opinion of how the world was made in the comments for this post. There may be a time when I ask you that later. For now, all I care about is what you think of the argument transcribed above.
